Most of my life I’ve struggled with weight. I’ve tried countless diets and exercise plans. I even lost 120lbs one year. That was an awesome year physically by the way but mentally I was stressed, frustrated, and hangry most of the time.
That all came to a crashing halt because who wants to live their life hangry…lol. So I picked up most of that weight again within a year. Now I’m back at square one and I want to share my journey with you this time.
"I don’t like to cook so I had to find cookbooks that worked for me. I found a lot of great books but I’ve consistently kept going back to one."
So, when I lost weight the last time I didn’t really cook. I ate lots of salads and while that got the weight off me I now find it hard to stomach salads. So I went on a search to find a cookbook just for me. Single, 30 something, young professional, with no kids. FYI this is not a dating app profile it’s my life.
I don’t like to cook so I had to find cookbooks that worked for me. I found a lot of great books but I’ve consistently kept going back to one. Food Health and Happiness by Oprah Winfrey.
Like Oprah I have a complicated relationship with food so we just clicked immediately.
This cookbook is filled with recipes that are not only tasty but healthy. I’ve used the Crab Cakes recipe (page 163) a few times now and it is delicious. This cookbook has a mixture of simple and complex recipes perfect for us singletons looking to score an easy and healthy meal.
